Abstract
In the field of architecture, about half of domestic plantation forests have reached the main cutting stage, so the construction of medium- and high-rise buildings is being studied, and the solution to the problem of building stock due to the declining birthrate and aging population is required. An important issue for the spread of wooden buildings is the improvement of seismic performance.<br> JAXA is studying dual design engineering as a methodology for simultaneously optimizing different fields. By applying it to “buildings” and “seismic waves,” we can design wooden buildings that can withstand 100% of various seismic waves. Tried. This study will promote the spread of wooden buildings, and it can be expected that Japan's forestry and forestry will become a sustainable growth industry.
