Abstract
<p>In recent years, a hollow floor slab bridge with a thin floor plate thickness on the upper part of the void tube has caused a collapse of the road surface. But at present, the evaluation method of the load carrying capacity of hollow slab bridge with missing thickness of upper floor plate has not been established. In this paper, By FEM analysis, we clarified the stress characteristics and load carrying mechanism accompanying changes in the thickness of the upper floor plate and the diameter of the void tube. We proposed a model that behaves as a cantilever beam with support of the upper floor plate. With that model we proposed, it is possible to evaluate the load carrying capacity of the upper floor plate of the hollow floor slab bridge conveniently and safety side.</p>
