Abstract
<p>In Japan, the reduction of working population due to aging results in the decline of labor productivity. As a countermeasure, the use of precast members has been promoted in construction industries. Between precast members, joint structures are required, but the existing joint structures need a relatively large number of works on site and they may cause structural weak points due to construction failure. Therefore, a new rebar connection has been developed. To apply it to practical precast bridge slabs, the structural performance influenced by their tolerance and the constructability of precast bridge slabs by using them were investigated. Finally, based on these results, a quality control method during construction of new joint structures was suggested.</p>
