<p>In the construction industry, labor shortage due to the recent declining birthrate and aging population is a serious problem, and it is necessary to improve the productivity and safety of the customer's construction site. Komatsu, a manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, is also developing technologies using deep learning to improve the productivity and safety of construction sites.</p><p>In this paper, we introduce some of the activities for deep learning application in the construction and mining machine field of Komatsu.</p>
