- Thermally-triggered n-type thermoelectric thin films with surfactant added single-walled carbon nanotubes using different processes

<p>In our previous study, we found that Sodium Dodecylbenzene Sulfonate (SDBS) was excellent as an n-type dopant for carbon nanotube (CNT). Therefore, the target of this study is to verify whether the n-type doping depends on the type of CNT. We focus on the number of CNT defects as a selection factor, so SG-CNT used in the previous research and eDIPS-CNT with fewer defects are newly used. As a result of thermally-triggered n-type doping using SG-CNT and eDIPS-CNT, the temperature with most effective of the n-type doping in eDIPS-CNT shifts to the high temperature side, compared to the SG-CNT. The initial Seebeck coefficient of eDIPS-CNT is similar with that of the SG-CNT, but the air stability of eDIPS-CNT deteriorates considerably. This result shows that the number of defects contributes to air stability of the performance of CNT.</p>
