Description
Recently, LEDs have come to be adopted increasingly to the lighting designs due to their recognitions to have a long life time and to save energy. This article introduces six installation case studies in Shikoku. What is important in incorporating LEDs into an illumination design is to understand the characteristics of LEDs before making a plan. LEDs can be said to be illuminations that are friendly to illuminated objects, because their light does not have any heat, and contain less ultraviolet. Furthermore, compared with conventional light sources, objects can be illuminated from a shorter distance because the energy is reduced. The author hopes that making light design proposals taking advantage of LED characteristics will become the natural thing to do for many illumination designers.
