Abstract

This article discusses who can acquire social skills through vocational training by analyzing the data from the quantitative survey towards enrollees in vocational training for the graduates from high schools. The analyses examined two hypotheses; namely, (1) the more enthusiastically and autonomously enrollees participate in vocational training, the more they can heighten but also generic skills, and (2) the more enthusiastically and autonomously enrollees spear themselves time for extracurricular work, the more they can heighten generic skills. With x2 test and t test, both hypotheses were supported to some extent. Vocational training has mainly focused on the professional skills, however, this article indicates it helps the enrollees acquire not only professional skills but also generic skills.
