Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the concept of “Tabe-aruki”. The word “Tabe-aruki” has two meanings. That is, to we eating food around there, and to we eating while walking with food. When a newspaper article was used to examine the period when such a concept was bifurcated, it was possible to find a representative in 1985. In addition, the concept of “Tabe-aruki” as tourism was considered to be composed of “people”, “food”, “stores”, “regions”, “passages for moving”, and “passages for rest”. Furthermore, this study also considered the applicational significance of the concept of “Tabe-aruki”.
