<p>In a super-ageing society of Japan, it is necessary to develop supportive environment for elderly outing in order to deliver their healthy independent everyday life. Relating to the shrinking city, the elderly outing in suburb is concerned. In this article, we explored the actual elderly outing in a suburb and discussed on the contents of supportive environment strategy for those outings. According to the survey results, elderly outing can be categorized in four types, and each has unique characteristics based on structure, expanse, and means of outing. Consequently, the strategy ought to be developed in accordance with type characteristics. Furthermore, it is implied that small scale environment and service improvement and social interaction are the possible delivery methods of strategy.</p>
