Description

Society5.0 has been launched by Japan, aims at creating a super-smart society. It aims at solving our social problems by designing and deploying real-world applications leveraging human-centered smart sensing, AI-based analysis, and feedback mechanisms. This paper introduces the author's smart sensing projects based on this concept. Particularly, we focus on technologies for incorporating and utilizing people and objects' presence and states into cyberspace. The discussion is then expanded to the future trends in super-intelligent network technologies for the aggregation, analysis, and utilization of sensing data. Notably, we look at the trends in distributed AI technologies, such as federated learning. We also discuss the future society realized by these technologies.
