Abstract

<p>In addition to its three original functions, michinoeki are required to play a role as a promotion of regional interaction. In recent years, michinoeki have become more and more attractive as destinations itself, but from the viewpoint of promoting regional vitalization, it is important for users to receive information at a michinoeki and then visit the surrounding area. In this study, in order to focus on excursions after using michinoeki, we analyzed the excursions of michinoeki users by using ETC2.0, which allows us to obtain the travel tracks of individual trips. Logistic regression analysis with the characteristics of location and attributes of michinoeki was performed. The results showed that the number of visitors at the tourist attractions, the number of restaurants, and the distance affected the rate of excursions in municipality including the michinoeki.</p>
