Description

We have reported that an epoxy resin having a diphenylene ether structure (DPE-E) gives a crystalline cured product. In the epoxy resin composition filled with alumina, the physical properties of the DPE-E cured product and the bisphenol F type epoxy resin (BPF-E) cured product were compared. The thermal conductivity was about 1.5 times that of the BPF-E cured product up to around the melting point of 190℃. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the coefficient of thermal expansion and the water absorption were reduced due to the crystallinity of the cured product.
