Abstract
<p>Rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology enables the utilization of various data of products throughout their whole life cycles. By using the data, it becomes possible to determine appropriate life cycle options for each individual product. To this end, the paper proposes a process model that can be generated by using current and future IoT technology. Then, the paper presents a method and its usage scenario for determining appropriate life cycle options for each individual product by using the model. Through a case study of electric vehicles, the validity, limitation and future development needs are discussed.</p>
