Description
<p>An independent microgrid is prospective in that it can supply electricity by being isolated even when the utility grid has some faults. In an independent microgrid without synchronous generators, its voltage and frequency have to be determined by inverter power sources such as batteries or PVs. This is why new control methods for inverters are required. This paper provides methods of seamless transition to independent mode and reconnection with the utility grid. These methods are verified by EMT simulation.</p>
