抄録

In the present study, the interfacial tension between silicone oil (100CS, 50CS and 20CS) and fluorinert, and its temperature dependency are measured based on the pendant drop method, using a downward needle and an upward needle. A typical pendant drop apparatus was evaluated for the possibility of measuring the surface tension of pure water and interfacial tension between pure water and 1-Octanol. The ds/de method used to infer interfacial tension from the shape of the pendant drop is described in detail. Values of interfacial tension between silicone oil and fluorinert as a function of temperature are presented. It is shown that the interfacial tension between silicone oil and fluorinert decreased with increasing in temperature. The temperature dependency of interfacial tension between silicone oil (100CS) and fluorinert, silicone oil (50CS) and fluorinert and that between silicone oil (20CS) and fluorinert are -0.020, -0.024 and -0.025, respectively. A reliable interfacial tension database of silicone oil (100CS, SD = 0.157 mN/m, 50CS, SD = 0.150 mN/m and 20CS, SD = 0.243 mN/m) and fluorinert are presented in the present paper.
