Abstract

<p>A 70-year-old woman with breast cancer and multiple bone metastases was referred to the hospital of this study. After paclitaxel (PTX) was administered, aminotransferase (aspartate aminotransferase, 201 IU/L; alanine aminotransferase, 35 IU/L). Gray-scale ultrasound and contrast-enhanced computed tomography were performed to investigate the cause of elevated aminotransferase, but no abnormal findings were detected. Aminotransferase was not improved despite changing and stopping chemotherapy, and ultrasound elastography was performed. High liver stiffness measurement was obtained. Therefore, a liver biopsy was performed. The histological diagnosis was invasive lobular carcinoma. It was discovered that micrometastatic liver cancer is one of the rare causes of high liver stiffness measurement.</p>
