Description

Due to the aging of social infrastructure, there is a need for efficient maintenance management technology. In this study, we aim to construct and apply a digital twin model to estimate the condition of bridges, which is important for maintenance management. A large scale FEM model was constructed for the entire existing long span steel cable-stayed bridge to reproduce the residual stresses in each member due to dead load and prestress. In addition, the shape of the main girder, the cable tension and the residual stress of the bridge were measured, and from the difference between the design assumption and the actual deformation state, the problems in reproducing the actual bridge condition were discussed. In order to evaluate the integrity of the bridge, load carrying capacity analysis was conducted using a large-scale model. It was shown that a large-scale model can simulate the occurrence and progress of local yield regions.
