抄録

An evaluative review of research into assertiveness is presented to highlight gender and sex. This article dealing with assertiveness was overviewed from five perspectives; (1) definition of assertiveness, (2) linguistics, (3) cognition, (4) tendency of assertion behavior, (5) social context. For the first, I reviewed definitions of assertiveness that had been addressed to form of behavior. Then, I indicated that some limitation for many women is not being able to be as assertive as they would like and that relationship between assertion and several elements. These reviews has founded to the difference of sex. Therefore I suggested that development and use of assertion training would depend upon sex.
