本稿は，OMEP（世界幼児教育・保育機構）アジア・太平洋大会（APRC：Asia Pacific Regional Conference）2019における本学からの3 件の研究発表について，幼児教育・保育研究の世界的動向の中での検討を試みるものである。OMEPは，全ての就学前の子どものために国境を越えて協力する目的で1948年に創設された国際機関であり、京都で行われたAPRC2019において，本学からは幼児教育における日本的な「自然」概念を検討した研究，接続期の課題を追究した研究，ESD教材を活用した保育者養成に関する研究が発表された。大戦の反省から異なる価値観と技能を分かち合う目的で設立されたOMEPのAPRCで，異文化の接する所として「自然」概念を軸に幼児教育が検討され，さらにESDを展開する教材と保育者の養成に関して国内外で共有できる内容が発表された。加えてOECDからも問題提起された接続期の課題についても検討され，いずれも国際的な広がりの中に位置づく多様な観点からの幼児教育・保育研究が発信された。 This paper examined three presentations about ECEC (early childhood education and care) from Fukuyama City University in OMEP Asia Pacific Regional Conference (APRC) 2019 in Kyoto. They are ‘The idea of nature in today’s early childhood education’, ‘The examination of transition curriculum between preschool and elementary school’ and ‘Teacher's training with teaching material for ESD’. OMEP is international organization founded in 1948 to promote the study and education of young children in all countries and so foster happy childhood and home life and thereby contribute to world peace. Differences of nationality, creed and culture could enrich in terms of sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas concerned with the educational needs of children. By discovering different cultures, considering structural roadblocks mentioned by OECD between ECEC and primary school, and improving the teacher education for ESD, three studies contribute suggestions to today’s global issues.
