It has been argued that music education plays important role in human growth, ethology. In this paper, I will consider about whether the music education truly has played such important role or not in the contemporary Japanese schooling, and I will insist that we should reform it. Specifically, I would like to suggest three points : Firstly, we should abolish grading in music class in schooling. Secondly, we should adopt instrumental education in music class of secondary education. Thirdly, we should create the temping agency of music instrumental trainer. Fourthly, we should activate school bands in high school and junior high school, and I suggest the reform of the competitions for them in each region.
