Abstract

type:P(論文)

In this paper, I have considered the structure and the theme of Psalm 139. At first I have analyzed the text from the viewpoint of metrics, such as alliteration, rhyme, etc. The analysis has suggested that the text is divided into eight units, vv. 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-22, 23-24, and that each two units make up a strophe, vv.1-6, 7-12, 13-18, 19-24. I have pointed out that the author of the Psalm emphasized the omnipresence and omniscience of Jhwh, and that these two themes are combined to express Mitsein of Jhwh. They have led the author to perceive Jhwh besides the Jersalemer Temple. In this way, the Psalm 139 has manifested the de-temple ideology.
