2歳児の自己主張・抑制的行動と,それに対する母親の対応行動について検討することを目的として,7組の親子を対象に母親に対する縦断的なインタビュー調査を行った。インタビューから得られた母親の語りに対して分析を行った結果,子どもの自己主張・抑制的行動とそれに対する母親の対応行動には,従来の研究には見られなかった多様なカテゴリーが抽出された。また,子どもの自己主張的行動と自己抑制的行動との間でカテゴリーの内容を比較したところ,両行動間には共通点とともに違いも見られた。さらに,子どもの自己主張的行動に対する母親の対応については,対応行動の多様性とともに,子どもの各行動への対応行動に典型的なものがあることが見出された。

In order to study 2-year-old toddlers' self-assertion and inhibition behaviors and their mothers' responses to such, we conducted a longitudinal interview survey on 7 toddler pairs who reside in Tokyo (4 males, 3 females). This study reports the survey results when toddlers were at the age of 2 year to 2 year and 11 months. From analysis of narratives obtained from interviews of the mothers, various categories which were not found in past studies were identified for these behaviors as well as the mothers' responses. When category contents were compared between self-assertion and inhibition behaviors, there were commonalities and differences. Additionally, concerning children's self-assertive behaviors, it was found that mothers responded in some specific ways even though their responses were diverse.
