研究の概要(和文)：本論文の目的は、NPO 法人川崎市法政トマホークス倶楽部に子どもを通わせる親を対象に、子どものスポーツ活動への参加度合いと地域コミュニティにおけるソーシャル・キャピタルとの関連を検討することである。対象者は、NPO 法人川崎市法政トマホークス倶楽部に所属する小学校1 － 6 年生の親57 名（男性29 名・女性28 名）であり、質問紙を用いた横断的調査を実施した。その結果、「地域交流」因子と「一般的な人への信頼」、「家族交流」因子と「友人とのつきあい」、「健康・楽しみ」因子と「一般的な人への信頼」、「家族勧誘」因子と「同僚とのつきあい」因子、「他人勧誘」因子と「同僚とのつきあい」について、いずれも負の相関が見られた。また、「子ども交流」因子と「友人とのつきあい」については、正の相関が見られた。子どものスポーツ活動に参加することで得られる、地域を含む家族外の人々との交流にメリットを感じている人ほど、日頃の人への信頼も高いと考えられる。また、「家族勧誘」因子及び「他人勧誘」因子と「同僚とのつきあい」の相関については、子どものスポーツ活動に参加したきっかけについて、内的な要因より、家族を含む他者の勧誘、つまりは外的な要因を重視している人ほど、同僚とのつきあいについては積極的であると考えられる。同様なつきあいとして聞いている、友人・親戚については、相関は見られなかった。また、唯一正の相関が見られた、「子ども交流」因子と「友人のつきあい」について、スポーツ活動への参加の際に、子どもと交流する人ほど、友人とのつきあいは盛んではないことが示唆された。

研究の概要(英文)：The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between involvement in children's sports activities and social capital in the localcommunity among parents of children who visit the Kawasaki-city Hosei Tomahawks Club.Participants included fifty-seven parents (twentynine fathers and twenty-eight mothers) who were members of the Kawasaki-city Hosei Tomahawks Club. We used a questionnaire for this crosssectional investigation. The Research Ethics Committee of the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Letters, Hosei University and Major of Psychology, Hosei University Graduate School approved this study. Findings revealed the following associations:"interaction with others in one's community" was associated with "trust in common people," "interaction with one's family members" was associated with "relationship with friends," "health and fun" was associated with "trust in common people," "solicitation from family members" was associated with "relationship with colleagues," "solicitation from others" was associated with "relationship with colleagues," and "contact with one's children" was associated with "relationship with friends." It was found that parents who considered it beneficial to interact with others outside the family by participating in children's sports activities tended to trust common people. With reference tothe opportunity to participate in their children'ssports activities, it was indicated that parents who were more focused on solicitation of others, including family members, would be positive about building relationships with colleagues. However, it was observed that parents who interacted with their children during participation in their sports activities might not be positive about socializing with friends.
