Abstract
During the course of our study on the structure-activity relationships of cotylenol, a plant-growth regulating diterpenoid, 9-deoxycotylenol has been found to retain the biological activities. Here, aiming to create new tools for targeting 14-3-3 proteins which are the biding proteins of this class of molecules and have recently been regarded to be the key regulatory proteins in the intracellular signal transductions, the synthesis of 9-deoxycotylenol derivatives carrying a fluorescent chromophore is reported.
