Description
Literature deals with human affairs, and religious faith, although it is mysterious, is very human. In the case of "The sting of death" by Toshio Shimao, we encounter a radical relationship and conflict between one married couple. Shimao's writing style has little, if any, decoration, and fully conveys his typical accurate record captured with his sharp eyes. One further point which needs to be clarified is whether this story is from the man's perspective or not. The aim of this paper is to consider the tales of Catholicism and Grace in his story and his life with his wife.
