Description
A long-term visual observation of front was carried out by Ariake ferry. The existance of front off Shimabara peninsula ill autumn and spring is shown and its tidal motion is displayed． In addition， stratification parameter is calculated from T・S data and its variation during the tidal cycle is shown, According to them， the seasonal expansion and contraction of less saline water mass located at the head of Ariake sea is discussed.
