Description

The purpose of this study was to examine characteristic of perspectives of assessing the development of children in "A" kindergarten in Japan, through contrast them with perspectives in "Project Spectrum." "A" kindergarten teachers' perspectives were distilled from their description about the development of children in cumulative records. They had more perspectives of assessing the development of "Social Understanding", less perspectives of assessing the development of "Mechanics and Construction," "Mathematics," "Music" and "Science" and more perspectives of assessing motivation. It was inferred that to distill perspectives and contrast them with other perspectives and to organize perspectives was meaningful for self-assessment, PDCA in kindergarten and day-care center.
