Abstract

This essay is a controversial, even polemical, study intended to challenge the dominantview among Japanese historians and the media concerning the so-called "Atomic Diplomacy" thesis. It exposes that Japanese writings on the subject are merely copies of "revisionist" works in the United States and suggests directions in which Japanese historians should pursue their future studies.
