Description
This paper discusses on the construction of Mukuden(Shenyang) Station, Harbin and their vicinity from the wild railway zone in North-east of China(Manchuria). A new residential area of city was constructed as a new concept of modern city in late 1930s, where residents in Mukuden(Shenyang) could enjoy highly cultivated life. In case of Harbin, the city was one of the most multi-racial cities in the world and also the rail way zone of Russia. The population of Russian and non-Chinese was much higher than Chinese in 1910s. Among them, there was many Jewish people. All of them were equally enjoyed their lives without any prejudice. Mr. Sugihara, who is well known as a hero diplomat for saving the lives of Jewish people, cultivated his humanity in the city of Harbin and also in the Manchurian National Harbin Gakuin College.
