Abstract

A new variety, Isodon inflexus var. nakayamae （Lamiaceae） is described from Japan. This variety is distin-guished from I. inflexus var. inflexus by small leaves and decumbent stems. Chromosome number of the new variety is 2n=24 （diploid）, same as those reported from this species and all other species in the genus.
