スポーツ外傷・障害は大学生アスリートにとって非常に大きな問題の一つである。城西大学におけるスポーツ外傷・障害に対する予防対策確立に向け，体育系クラブ学生のスポーツ外傷・障害特性およびスポーツ医科学サポートへのニーズを把握することを目的とし，本学の体育系 17クラブに所属する学生を対象にスポーツ外傷・障害に関するアンケート調査を実施した。最終的に 437名（回収率 90.7％）より同意および回答を得た。結果，大学，大学入学前ともに下肢部，腰部において既往率が高かった。下腿部（シンスプリント等），足関節，腰部，大腿部（ハムストリングス肉離れ等）では慢性化している症例が多く，本学における競技特性も関連していると推察された。また，症状未回復での復帰，リハビリテーションの不徹底，再発予防トレーニング未実施などスポーツ外傷・障害に対する復帰判断基準の曖昧さ，リテラシーの乏しさも見受けられ，大学スポーツ現場における教育的指導の必要性も考えられた。さらに，スポーツ外傷・障害発生時の医療機関との連携，トレーナーとの連携などスポーツ医科学的サポートの必要性が浮き彫りになった。本学におけるスポーツ外傷・障害発生を予防していく上で，多角的なスポーツ医科学的サポート体制の確立が必要である。The aim of this study was to clarify the actual situation of sports injuries and examine the need for medical support systems in Josai University. Therefore, we administered a questionnaire to 437 players in 17 university athletic clubs. Analyses of the participants' answers indicated that many athletes had a history of lower extremity injuries and low back injuries before and after enrolment at the university. Inaddition, there were many cases of chronic injuries of the lower legs（e.g., medial tibial stress syndrome and stress fracture）, ankle, lowerback, and thigh（e.g., hamstring injury）.These incidences might be factors affecting the athletic characteristics of players in Josai University. It was also clarified that the criteria for the recovery process after sports injuries were ambiguous, and that athletes had little health literacy for the prevention of sports injuries, including recurrent injuries（e.g., lack of athletic rehabilitation and prevention training）.Therefore, we suggested that there is a need to provide medical and educational support for university athletes to prevent sports injuries. Furthermore, to reduce the incidence of sports injuries in Josai University, effective screening processes, prevention measures, and rehabilitation systems should be established.
