イルカ介在活動・療法は,主に自閉症者の療育の一環として行われており,事例研究における成果が数々報告されている。本研究では,イルカ介在活動の可能性を広く捉えるため,自記式質問紙に加え,ストレスの生理的指標である唾液アミラーゼ活性を用いて一般の参加者を対象としてリラックス効果の検討を行った。その結果,体験前ストレス度の高い人では体験後有意に低い値を示したことから,体験前にストレスが高い人では,ストレス軽減効果が高いという知見を得ることができた。また,イルカについて知識・興味・関心を持つ人,波音を聴くために海に行く人では有意なストレス軽減が認められた。さらに,体験後の感想で「癒された」と回答した人は数値が有意に低く,主観的にも生理的にも癒し効果を得られたことが示唆された。

Many achievements of dolphin assisted activity (DAA) mainly done as part of therapy for autistic persons have reported by case studies. In this study, we consider the healing effect for stress with salivary amylase activity and questionnaire to detect possibilities of DAA. In the case of people who were under a lot of stress before DAA, the SAA measured after DAA was lesser than that before DAA. The results indicated the healing effect for people who were under a lot of stress. In the case of people who are interested in dolphin and who go to sea to hear sound of the waves, significant healing effect was recognized. Further, the SAA measured to be significantly low in the case of people who had impression “have been healed". That indicates that they could get healing effect mentally and physiologically.
