Abstract
Evaluation and prediction methods of the outer panel sink mark by mastic adhesive hardening are few, and the generation mechanism is not sufficiently clarified. A tool for quantitative evaluation of the sink mark was developed, and the effects of panel thickness, amount of mastic adhesive, and distance between panel and reinforcing parts on the sink mark were investigated. In addition, a CAE prediction model was also developed to reproduce the experimental results.
