小学校4・5・6年生児童を対象に,水泳能力の向上に資し,効果的で安全な指導プログラムを実践し報告すること並びに,小学校高学年を対象に水泳実習の安全かつ効果的な指導プログラムを作成および検討をすることを目的とした。T小学校の臨海学舎は,水泳能力の育成と団体生活においての規律・責任・自主・協力を学ぶことを目的として実施され,心身両面の成果が得られるよう徹底した計画と準備が行われた。そこでは,水練会議を毎日実施し練習における反省や翌日のテスト計画を細部にわたり検討し実施した。臨海学舎は児童の泳力向上に大変効果的であり,その結果今年度も1kmの泳力に到達した児童が全体の4割,6年生では8割5分を超えるなどの高い成果を挙げた。

In this research, elementary school targetting 4・5・6th grade 369 students, it was useful to the improvement of swimming ability, it was effective and it practiced the safe guidance program and reported. In addition, it designated that it draws up safety and the effective guidance program, of swimming practice and it examines as purpose. The seaside school of T elementary school was executed the fact that discipline,responsible,independent,cooperation at the time of rearingand group living of swimming ability is learned, as purpose in orderto be able to obtain the result of body and mind, plan and the preparation which it is thorough were done. Then, everyday it executed meeting and it examined reflection and the test planning of the next day in practicing over detail and executed.The seaside school very much was effective to the improvement of swimming ability of the child. As a result, the child who arrives in 1km being, 6th grade1 85 percentage, it exceeded 5th grade 40 percentage. Degree of last swimming power arrival was high, left the result to the next year. In addition to that, effort is being put into reform to the guidance system which most attaches importance safety, positively it introduces utilizes the rescue equipment and the technology of the lifeguard, puts effort into environmental control.
