Although baseball is called an American sport, it is originally from England, the cradle of the modern sports. Some people talk about baseball with frontier spirit which Americans, such as Anglo-Saxon, have. Concretely, there are some theories which point out the connection between baseball and pioneering. One focuses on the mental manner of the pioneer's soul which lurks in the rule of the baseball. In addition to these theories, in this paper I try to make reference to the fact that pioneering mentalities are clearly contained in the baseball by applying the keyword "8, a symbol of power" in Anglo-Saxon mental world which I insist on.
