The article is a brief review of Fumisato Minamikawa's Unfinished Multiculturalism. The book is undoubtedly important for multicultural scholars such as the reviewer and, more broadly, also for readers interested in politics and culture or ethnic and racial issues in the USA. Fairly acknowledging this importance, I intendedly arouse a noise to the finished writing of the book and open it for incomplete dialogue. Essential limitation of the book is that; while it asks a broad and critical question, that is, "what was multiculturalism after all?", it cannot answer to it because of a so parochial understanding of the concept of multiculturalism. The role of this review is to point this mismatch and call for fertile possibilities of critique that are not prescribed by "anti-multiculturalism".
