<p>In this study, a wide-angle monopulse beam steering antenna using a high-permittivity substrate is presented. According to the monopulse theory, the maximum steering beam angle is 90° when antenna elements are isotropic and element spacing is half wavelength. However, it is limited to around 30° to 40° due to the radiation pattern of each antenna element. The proposed beam steering antenna uses a high-permittivity substrate to widen the beam of single microstrip antenna. Its performance is evaluated by simulation.</p>
