<p>The parietal lobe is a region located in the upper central part of the cerebral cortex surrounded by the frontal lobe, occipital lobe, and temporal lobe, and performs various functions in cooperation with other regions. In this paper, we first describe the somatosensory area and tactile cognitive impairment, then the relationship between the structural and connective characteristics of the posterior parietal cortex and neuropsychological symptoms, and finally the joint attention that the posterior parietal cortex is deeply involved in. In particular, it is important that functional differentiation and somatotopic structures are observed in the posterior parietal cortex and intraparietal sulcus. That is, based on the finding that the anterior part of the supramarginal gyrus and VIP correspond to a mouth (face), the posterior part of the supramarginal gyrus and AIP correspond to fingers, and the angular gyrus, LIP, and CIP correspond to eyes, we reconsidered the neuropsychological symptoms including apraxia and aphasia.</p>
