市販の57食品を対象に微生物汚染検査を行った。大腸菌群が認められた食品は非加熱冷凍食品8食品,生食品17食品の計25食品であった。このうち,大腸菌と確認されたのは3食品のみであった。食品衛生法の検査対象微生物を大腸菌群ではなく,大腸菌に変更するべきだと考える。

The bacterial pollution was checked for 57 foods on sale at markets. Coli-aerogenes-groups were found in 25 foods, they were 8 frozen foods without heat treatment, and 17 raw foods. Only 3 foods among them were polluted by colon bacillus. So we suppose that Escherichia coli instead of coliform organisms should be adopted for microbe test of food pollution in Food Sanitation Law.
