<p>Although greening is important to create comfortable shopping environment, there are few shopping streets to engage actively in greening activities. The purpose of this study is to promote greening activities in shopping streets by examination of greening types and awareness of retailers about greening. We conducted actual state surveys of greening space and questionnaire surveys for retailers in several areas in the wards of Tokyo. We found the possibilities to promote greening activities by some ingenious attempts.</p>
