Abstract
This paper explores the objectives and potentialities of the followership education as well as the issues during its implementation. Previous studies have clarified the followership education deeply connects with the leadership education and its significance for future society. They have also shown that the critical theme of the followership education shall be the paradigm shift from the conventional stereotype. Furthermore, the synergy effect was confirmed with active learning in teaching cases. It is necessary to further consider how to adapt the followership education to the classroom in Japan.
