<p>The primary objective of our study is to clarify the droplet disintegration process in the secondary atomization phenomena during droplet combustion of emulsion. High-speed images of droplet dispersion of a n-hexadecane/water emulsion droplet suspended at the tip of a quartz filament were traced by using an image processing procedure. It was indicated that the dispersion speed of area of a disintegrated droplet initially increased and decreased of a peak in micro-explosion. Dispersion processes of secondary droplet in a micro-explosion event of emulsion droplet was also discussed.</p>
