Abstract

Damage evaluation of underground RC ducts subject to fault displacement was carried out by the full-scale FEM analysis considering the non-linearity of cracked concrete and the ground including shear bands. From the comparison between the results of the centrifuge model tests and the analysis result, the validity of the constitutive model for the ground subject to fault displacement was verified. The full-scale model of the underground RC duct made it possible to evaluate the damage mode of the entire system, including damage of the shaft where the fault does not hit directly.
