Abstract
This paper aims to clarify the pragmatic aspect of reality that makes inferences valid by scrutinizing Peirce's notion of reality. Peirce asserts as follows: The fact that the conclusion of reasoning is true if the premises related to it are true is real. According to Peirce, the practical effect brought to us by reality is the establishment of belief in us. That fact makes us form a belief and leads us in a specific direction. Thus, its actual operation guarantees the validity of the inference through the settlement of the guidance of our action.
