Abstract

Clarify the policy support and mental health required by nurses in the emergency / intensive care unit. We conducted a web survey of nurses. The survey evaluated the policy support and mental health required by nurses. The survey was answered by 2,431 nurses. Of these, 325 were nurses in the emergency / intensive care unit. Working in the emergency / intensive care unit increased the risk of developing major depressive disorder and reduced the risk of post-traumatic stress disorder. It is necessary to consider support based on changes in risk due to work.
