This is a reflection of the change from physical education to sports in Japan.2) Courses corresponding to “Principles of Physical Education” in this survey were offered in the first year in 10/11 cases (90.9%). This suggests that courses corresponding to “Principles of Physical Education” are designed for students to learn about physical education and sports, and to find its significance and ideal state by philosophically thinking and discussing about it. Furthermore, the high score for the noun “faculty” suggests that it is necessary to mention the content of the undergraduate courses that are studied afterwards, based on the subject linkage.3) The results of classification from the four contents of “Principles of Physical Education” proposed by Takahashi et al. showed that ③ contents to develop critical thinking that is considered necessary to create a better world of physical education and sports (46.4%), ② contents to pursue the essence of physical education and to communicate and think about “what is physical education?” (21.9%), ① content to bridge research results such as PPE and practice (21.2%), and④ content to deepen understanding of the research field itself, namely principles of physical education and philosophy of physical education (10.6%).
