Abstract
This article is the record of the event on January 29, 2022 at ALCE: Association for Language and Cultural Education. In this event, we invited the Film producer Mr. Kazutaka Watanabe and the Film director, Mr. Akio Fujimoto to talk about their 2 films, Passage of Life and Along the Sea. Passage of Life is a film about a Burmese family of four living in Japan experiencing separation between Japan and Myanmar. Along the Sea is a realistic drama of three young female laborers who came from Vietnam as a technical trainee, and escaped from the working place for its harsh treatment. Both films depict existential problems of human beings who live in the language environment he/she is not familiar with.
