Abstract

This paper describes the curriculum types, teleology, and practical theories of edible education originating in the United States from the perspectives of pedagogy, social work, and music. In it, this study showed that edible education originates from the core curriculum and that it is a derivative of the child-centered curriculum. In addition, it was clarified that it is an educational practice that emphasizes children's independent activities. Next, we discussed the teleology of edible education from the perspective of environmental justice in green social work. Furthermore, from the practical examples of music education, food, plants and music were connected, and from the development of edible education, the practical theory was clarified. Through the discussion above, we have shown the significance and value of edible education in early childhood education.
