Abstract
Exercise training is useful for treatment of obesity. It increases insulin sensitivity, fatty acid oxidation, and glucose uptake. Leptin which is a regulalor of energy balance and satiety has a key role in this mechanism. Some leptin receptor gene polymorphisms cause the resistance of the exercise treatment. This review introduces the genetic background of leptin receptor gene which influences the capacity of metabolism.
