Clinical, laboratory, chromosomal and sex chromatin studies were made on 5 patients with abnormal sex chromosome constitution (XXXXY, XXXY, XXX, XO/XY and XY/XXY). Three of the 5 patients were found by a screening test (sex chromatin examination) of 578 children with mental deficiency. The other two were patients with complaints on anomalies of external genitalia. From the world literatures, clinical and laboratory observations on cases with abnormal sex chromosome constitution were summarized. The correlation between sex chromatin and sex chromosome of the disease was also studied. It was emphasized that sex chromatin test serves not only as a screening method but also as a routine diagnostic method of the disease.
